“Comme le sable sous la verre du temps, alors les jours de nos vies”
My sister and I were thinking of all these French synonyms for different everyday phrases we were saying. One was “Just as usual” and we got stumped after about five different French phrases. On and on this went, until we came across this English kernel of truth:
“Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.”
Conclusion: our terribly translated title above, which is the very basic basic way to say it, and still probably not correct.
